Atlas Canada Joins Forces with Food Banks Canada to Support Families in Need

Oakville, ON — February 6, 2025

Atlas Van Lines Canada is proud to announce a new partnership with Food Banks Canada, a national charitable organization focused on relieving hunger and promoting food security across the country. In 2025, for every move booked by a residential client in Canada, Atlas will help put food on the table for families in need.

This initiative is part of Atlas Canada’s long-standing commitment to making a positive impact in the communities it serves. Through this partnership, Atlas Canada aims to strengthen food banks across Canada, ensuring that more families have access to nutritious meals during difficult times.

“At Atlas Canada, we believe every move counts—not just in relocating households but in supporting the communities where we live and work,” said Fred Haladay, President & CEO of Atlas Canada. “Our collaboration with Food Banks Canada enables us to make a tangible difference in the fight against hunger. Together, we’re helping families access the resources they need to thrive, one move at a time.”

PLUS From Feb 10-17 Atlas Canada Proudly Serves as Matching Partner for Family Day Campaign
As the matching partner for Food Banks Canada’s Family Day Campaign, Atlas Canada is excited to help amplify efforts to provide meals to families in need from February 10–17, 2025. Through this initiative, Atlas Canada will match the first $25,000 family day donations to help feed families. A gift of $42, that is doubled will help feed a family of four for two weeks, ensuring they have access to the food and support they need. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact and show the strength of community spirit this Family Day.

“As the need across Canada continues to grow and food bank visits grow to a rate never seen in Canadian history, the issue of food insecurity is a problem that we all must work towards solving,” shared Erin Filey-Wronecki, Chief Development and Partnerships Officer, Food Banks Canada. “With over two million visits to food banks this month, with nearly 700,000 of those visits being from children, we are incredibly grateful for support from partners like Atlas Canada. Thank you for joining our mission to relieve hunger today and prevent hunger tomorrow.”
